This is just a short post about facebook images. A lot of people re-upload images or link to facebook images all over the web. Facebook have a habit of changing the format of their urls. The current format makes it very east to retrieve the identification of the user who uploaded a photo. I have noticed on certain sites or boards, people seem to wonder how their identification was revealed. When all they did was link to one of their facebook pictures or upload one without changing the file name.
The current format is xxxx_xxxxxx_PPPPPP_xxxxx_xxxxxx_n.jpg, where the P's are the users ID number. The x's can be numbers of any length. Using facebooks graph API it's easy to pull the retrieved users information. I made a small example of how easy this is to do HERE.
