Lucid Surrealist Dreams and techno-lust.

I have weird dreams sometimes. Sometimes they are of a possible but not too distant future. I dream of worlds where every single scientific paper in existence is open, free and available on a free communication network. Something like the internet. Except in these visions, the internet is always available, always free and accessible from anywhere within human reach all of the time.

I also imagine brain to computer interfaces, that allow access to this information at any time. Allowing the human mind to grow in different ways. Creating immense connections between all of the very vast subjects the brain has immediate access to. This maybe is a combination of advanced visual memory and incredible association or connection abilities of the brain.

I don't rule out the possibility of using maybe futuristic known and studied chemicals that benefit the brain in this way. In the future, who knows what drugs will appear to increase the minds openness and availability for growth.

Imagine the mass of all scientific data under the hands of a massively powerful data mining machine or machine network. The density of that tree that joins every single scientific document, be it by referral or by appendix. Graduate study thesis or the most recently proven scientific idea. Imagine The ability to visit any node of this tree and indulge in all of the best ranked data surrounding that topic throughout a scientifically studied time.

We have this already today in a way but it's by no means in one location of access or available at whim, as above. This one location if imaginable would definitely take form in something like the internet of today. It may be hard to imagine such a world, such a united collection of people, under a common shared global access point.Joint in knowledge and joined in love.

Lets look at the notion of a hive. Imagine the hive becomes mentally aware of itself. We all realize we are part of this hive. We realise where we fit into the hive. We all understand how the dynamics of the world work within the semi-decent knowledge we possess of the real physical complexities involved. When there is enough readily available scientific evidence to prove the validity of any area... (to a point) beyond further investigation or curiosity, We allow access to all of the data that led to the current point of progress.

These are just dreams driven by technolust. This, is madness possibly, in the real world of missing determination, a lack of apathy and constant war. We won't ever reach this point. Especially when we over-value such things as fashion, money, fame and stupidity.

This was profound when I wrote it under the influence, at 4 in the morning. I hope it reads well when sober. It probably won't... fuck it. Dreams... Weird but fun. Almost like life.
