Happy 2014!

So far this year has got off to a great start, I recently entered the top 100 security researchers at after I did my first bug bounty through their system. A few hundred dollars is quite rewarding for only a few hours work! It's definitely something I'll be keeping up, it's nice to be rewarded for polishing and improving my own web application security testing skills. Then to add to the success I also received a large reward from Yahoo.com for reporting 2 bugs before Xmas. They paid me through the site.

I have definitely decided I want to pursue a career in security consulting in some form or the other, as I really do enjoy what I do. Is it boastful to say you enjoy your job? Anyway, The main purpose of this post is to set out some goals for myself for the New Year. Hopefully doing this will encourage me to stay on track and allow anyone who reads this blog encourage or discourage me into pursuing them.

Below are my Plans: (wish me luck)

  • Put lots of effort into my
  • Get my degree
  • Get a security consulting job (rits.ie)
  • Hack Everything / MOAR Bug bounties
  • Complete all the problems on Project Euler in x86 Assembly &| C.
  • (♥)A once a week date with my GF(♥)
  • Update Redbrick's System Docs
  • More Exercise...
  • Complete (exploit_4_fun_profit) and write the solutions up.
